a little board play...

The Joe and I went shopping the other day at Ikea.  We definitely enjoy The Ikeas. Yes, we feel it is our duty living in Utah to put a "The" in front of all store names.  Pluralizing is also important.  A few things we like about The Ikeas:

  1. They have a play place...free babysitting for the potty trained kidlets!
  2. Their carts spin all the way around. The Joe gets a little more rambunctious with the carts than I do.
  3. They have an "As-Is" section near the checkout.  Yay for loads of junk!!! Wahoo!!
As we were rummaging, we noticed that they have lots of cabinet doors that are hard wood.  All of which were $4 and under. Sa-weet!

I'm getting ready to have a table at a craft sale this Spring,
so I decided to grab as many as I could to turn into hanging boards.

Most of them have really great framed slats.
Very cute! I'll be busy painting the rest of those suckers this next week.

I decided I'd like to keep a small one for myself to hang a set of antique keys I ordered from PB.

Everyone should have at least one keyboard in their house right?

Welp, thanks for stopping by this fine day.
Wishing you the best!

  5. I love that you understand about the putting a 'the' in front of any store name. When I say it, no one gets it. :)

    Awesome job, as always!

  11. Hi Andy- My brother used to live in Utah. I don't remember him adding plurals, but I do remember his wife and friends who grew up there always saying, You, bet. I collect old keys and clock faces. This is a great way to display some of my favorites. I love the color you chose too. I haven't been to Ikea is a long time. I live near a huge one in suburban Philadelphia. I love the clearance room, but I love the chrispy chocolate cookies they sell in the cafe more - yummy! You can't eat just one.

  16. Ikea is awesome. I introduce my mom to it last time she came to visit us (she doesn't live near one, sadly) and we went everyday she was here! I will have to check out their "as-is" section, because these are the cutest things I have ever seen!
