Desk Recovery

Here's the desk Joe and I found last week.  Ha ha ha...this picture looks so sad. I took it late at night and the color looks awesomely pathetic.  It's like a before and after picture that they have you frown and look as frumpy as possible so the after picture looks more amazing.  I didn't intentionally try to make this such a sad pic, but maybe it will work to my advantage. I decided to go pink with this little guy and I started with the drawers.

I usually like to do that because I like to see quick results and it's fun and motivating to finish a drawer and be excited for the rest of the project.  Plus it made me think twice about doing the whole thing in vibrant pink. That would just be pink overload so I decided to paint the base chocolate.

I like how the stripes on the drawers tie it all together.  Click HERE for pricing.  Have a great 4th of July weekend!!

  4. I have a similar desk that I bought for my daughter's room 2 months ago. I haven't painted it yet, because I have been waiting for inspiration to hit me. This desk is definitely inspiring me. Where do you get all of your creative ideas? I have never seen you do the same thing twice.

  9. I'm sad I missed the Creative Cats Tuesday :( This not-every-week thing is kind of a bummer. But I totally understand why it has to be. I REALLY like your desk :)
