Family Home Evening Charts

I've had Family Home Evening boards on the brain because I need to make one for my family.  I've done some searching for ideas. I thought I'd share a few of them with you.

If you're wondering what Family Home Evening is,you can find out about it HERE.

Isn't this board cute? I love the little circle tags.

Speaking of tags...wouldn't it be fun to use vintage tags

and hang them on some old door knobs attached to decorative metal.

Here's a piece of sheet metal for a magnetic board with the families pictures.

Here's another magnetic board idea that's a lot of fun.

Here's a fantastic idea using chalkboard vinyl, did you know that existed? Well, now you do!

I was planning on going with a glass doorknob look, but when I got to Hobby Lobby I found these knobs and changed my plans immediately. I love having the initials on the knobs!

I decided to do an all black and white board.

I painted a routed board white and added off the words to "I Am a Child of God" in vinyl lettering

The Joe helped me put the knobs on since our drill press is in storage and I have no idea where our drill bits are. He can just power thru it with the screws.  I decided to make the tags mostly black and peel out the lettering to give it a little bit of contrast.

If you don't really have an organized family night you can also use these kinds of boards for
job charts!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Andy

P.S. Today is Heather's b-day!
Wish her a happy one today or on her Thursday post!
Have a beautiful day my sweet friend!

  1. Thanks for the great ideas! We just made a simple FHE chart a few weeks ago. For us the act of making one and putting it up, made us look forward to FHE even more, and our assigned task. I was wondering what you use to do your vinyl lettering. It must come in very handy!
