Happy first Monday of 2010!
I love the new year. I love the idea of a clean slate. I have many projects in mind around my house and yard this year, but the one I want to do first is the wall above our computer desk. I really wanted to finish this over the break, but instead I barely got started (anybody else have that happen?)
Anyway, it used to look like this....
Not bad at all, except that it is not functional at all! The board is made out of concrete or something...I could barely even hammer a nail through it to put up the calendar. I took down the board and now I have this....I love the new year. I love the idea of a clean slate. Sigh. Look at that big open slate. There are so many possibilities for this wall. I've been collecting some things from the Thrift store that I plan to use. I think I'm going to go for something like this...

A while ago I saw a blog where someone made something like this on their own that was AWESOME, but I can't find it for the life of me now. Anyone know where it is?
