That's not really even what I wanted to blog about today, but I just had to vent!! Thanks for the listening ear. What I really wanted to do is share this painting idea. I know I'm going a little overkill on the pegboards lately, but you can modify the idea to fit whatever(if you like it that is). My inspiration came from this little paper applique I found at Robert's.
I love those little spring trees. I decided to copy the idea by taping lines onto a pegboard. I taped really thin and long triangles for the trunks and after they had dried I taped little tiny branches.
At first I tried to free hand them, but I think with the style they look better when they are more precise.
The fun part is stamping the different sizes and colors of circles to top them off. I had a couple of circle stamps and I used a pencil eraser for the teeny tiny ones. Too fun.
OK, I promise my next post will have nothing to do with pegboards!! Have a great Wednesday Wedding Day....remember whoever you touch you have to marry. Did you play that as a kid? I think that's why Wednesday has always been my favorite.
I tried for 3 years to get pregnant with my 3rd child. I gave up and sold the crib and all of my baby things. That same week, I found out I was pregnant. I felt bad, but then I got to go out and get all new things that I liked better anyway. Maybe you will find better jars?
