Time to start flipping decor!
Here's the corn husk wreath we made a bit ago.
Catch the tutorial HERE.
Spray it down with silver metallic paint to Christmas-ify it.
I couldn't tell you why I had silver metallic spray paint in the garage.
One of life's great mysteries.
I was pleased to find that the corn husks took the paint really well.
You can add a little blingy bling with silver sprigs...or whatever they're called.
I found them at Hobby Lobby...50% off, of course.
For less than $10 you can cover 2 holidays.
I've recently been drawn in by silver Christmas decor.
What do you think? Do you decorate with silver?
If so, what do you like to pair it with?
Do you match it with mostly white, or do you like to add bright colors like red or teal?
I think silver looks appealing set in a very neutral color scheme
I like West Elm's version.
Especially the newsprint tassels{{I know they are not silver, and I'm off topic but CUTE}}.
I love that the branches are wrapped as well.
Here's another great wreath from West Elm designed by David Stark.
Thoughts??
Will silver make it's way into your home this Christmas?
I love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd silver is the BEST for holiday decorating :)
I did all sliver, green, and blue this year... and I love the "winter wonderland" look :)
Great work, girl!

I'm loving your silver wreath. I want one :)
ReplyDeleteI use silver with the 'snow' ornaments. Along with navy blue. I love it!! The tree at the salon is also decorated with silver and black. Looks like a diva tree when we are through with it.
ReplyDeleteI have silver metallic spray paint in my stash too. My colors this year are silver, white, and red. I love that wreath both ways. What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteIv'e been thinking about getting a bunch of those dollar store snow flakes.. and I didn't know what colour to paint them!!!! NOW I DO!!!! silver!!! thank-you :D
ReplyDeleteWow, I love that wreath. I've never used silver at Christmas, but that looks so good.
ReplyDeleteI thought the corn husk wreath was so cute for fall, but I am loving the silver one even more. Especially with the added silver berries, etc. So cute. I just might have to give it a try! Thanks.

I really liked your corn husk wreath. . . and I love your silver wreath! What a great idea! I love metallics for the holidays--gold, silver, you name it. It just seems right to have things a little blingy at Christmastime!
ReplyDeleteLove the silver and love the idea!
ReplyDeleteLOve the silver Wreath.
ReplyDeleteI personally adore silver and blue. I don't appreciate gold the way most people do I fear. My tree for me is silver and blue, for pretties in the front room. The other one for the kids with the presents has the traditional gold, green and red.
