Nothing says "Thanks" like adding vinyl...

The Joe and I celebrated our 11th anniversary last week!
Yay us!!

After a year of major purchases,
we realized we would have to be celebrating on an incredibly tight budget.

We decided that for gifts this year, we, as part of our date, would go to Target.

We each had $10 to spend on the other person and a half hour time limit.

It was actually a lot of fun racing around the store trying to find the best bargain.

I was really proud of myself for finishing 10 minutes early.

I found a power strip(the Joe has a great love for these), a bag of Sour Patch Kids and a metal scraper thingy that will help him cut his pizza dough.   I ran to check out and was surprised that I had only spend $9.50.  I wanted to get as close as I could, so I ran back into the store. Luckily they had a clearance gift bag for $.34, so I was only $.14 shy of my limit!!

The Joe went into overtime, so he was probably officially disqualified(if it's possible to be 'probably officially' anything), but he did a great job! He found me a really cute necklace with a black pendant and these charcoal plates.

When we were climbing into bed that night he said,
" I can't believe you don't like those plates...I mean you haven't even put vinyl on them yet!"

I responded with," Well, maybe I just want to use them as PLATES....ever think of that?"

"No, actually I didn't."

Well, here I am, to display my gratitude and love of my anniversary gift,
I am adding vinyl to these plates!

I found a vector for utensils HERE

I used a font called My Own Topher found on Kevin and Amanda

And here we are!

Thank you, my love.
I've loved spending 11 yrs. with you!

  4. What a fun idea! Happy Anniversary. I don't know if I would try this though. My youngest son would find some really interesting things I would like, no doubt. The hubby, except for maybe my favourite magazines, not so much.
