The inside of the front door~

It's been one of those days.  The kind where you don't change out of your pajamas until 4 p.m. Since it's only 3:10, you can guess that I'm still sitting here in my pajamas trying to be optimistic about changing in a few minutes.   Mondays will do that to me because I try to clean for a good part of the morning to make up for the havoc that Sunday has reeked on our home.

It actually felt really good to clean today.  I focused on our bedroom and bathroom and even washed the comforter set, which for me is a huge accomplishment. Seriously. Even though I had a lot of cleaning, I was really happy all morning.  A cleaning/pajama day always puts me in the mood for a project, so I decided to paint the inside of the front door.

Deanne gave me some scraps of material that she got from our friend Shelley who is a slipcover wizard.
I used the scraps to make little decorative curtains for the windows.  Since the door is metal I slipped a couple of magnets into the fabric to hang them up.

I even had enough left over to make a matching throw for the entry bench.

I hope you are having a great Monday! I think I'll finally jump in the shower!

  3. You sound like me. I usually stay in my p.j.s for a good bit, but probably not that late. I cleaned a lot today, too and have seriously thought about painting the inside of my door, too. Yours looks great and love the fabric.

  11. The door turned out great and the fabric is so pretty! I found I get more done with cleaning if I dress all the way to my tennis shoes. Keeps my back from hurting and my body from getting tired. I like to stay in my pj's while I am blogging, though!!
