My Mother and I are a lot a like. Change is a welcomed guest in our homes. I tend to paint and move furniture. She often has new dishes, couches and comforter sets. She past these dishes onto me awhile ago and I had completely forgotten about them.
Joe found them on his cleaning/organizing frenzy in the garage. My kids were having a blast unwrapping them. They acted really excited even though each plate they unwrapped looked just like the one they had opened just a moment before. I love how they find so much joy in the teensy tiny things in life. I really have enough plates at the moment so I thought I would use some of my chalkboard paint on a couple of them.
It just took a few minutes to spray them and I drew on them after the kidlets were all snug in their beds.
Which reminds me, I should really be snug in my bed right now as well. Have a wonderful Sunday!
P.S. The larger plate really says "Fresh pie". I know it looks like "Fresh pic" in the picture, but I was too lazy to go and take another shot.
P.P.S. Don't you just love those cute little polka dotty bowls I found at Ross?
Very cool idea! I'm linking!
