OK so maybe we hate to admit it, but we all have clothes in our closet that don't fit like we would hope. I was looking at my wardrobe today and decided to say goodbye to a jean skirt.

I love the look of the pockets and details at the top of the skirt. First I cut it off just under the pockets. My daughter starting lecturing me that I was making my skirt too short.

Next I turned it inside out and sewed it across the bottom.

I turned it back around and threaded an old sash through the belt loops and tied it. An old tie would also work well. I love how it turned out and I especially love that it only took 5 minutes. It would also look cute decorated with vintage buttons.
