Duct tape Halloween topiary~

The supply list for a duct tape topiary is pretty small...

You'll need:
Styrofoam ball...(go with a small size, trust me:)
a wooden dowel
2 rolls of black duct tape
glass or a pot
candy corn
hot glue

The black rosettes are made by cutting 6''-8'' of duct tape, folding the edge down and rolling.
You can check out a more detailed tutorial with THIS project.

Once you have a few million (j/k but it feels like it) rosettes, glue them to the styrofoam ball.

Keep them nice and close to each other. It takes a lot. I used 2 full rolls of duct tape.

Shove a painted dowel into the center of the ball and plant it in a pot full of candy corn.
I probably should have used something a little less edible.  I'm sure this won't make it until Halloween...or Sunday for that matter.

  2. Wow. I love this. I just bought some topiary stands at a thrift store that I want to redo with something cool for Halloween. There's 2 of them with 4 balls total, I don't know if I have that much patience, we'll see! I can't believe you went through 2 rolls of duct tape for just the small one! Well done.

  8. Thank you for sharing this creative Halloween project using duct tape. It seems like a fun and unique way to decorate for the occasion. The step-by-step instructions you provided are clear and concise, making it easy for others to follow along.

The use of black rosettes made from duct tape to cover the styrofoam ball is a clever idea, and I can imagine it creating a visually striking effect once completed. The suggestion to glue them close together is helpful to ensure a full and cohesive look.

The addition of a painted dowel and planting the topiary in a pot filled with candy corn adds a festive touch. However, I understand your concern about the candy corn being edible and not lasting until Halloween.

In response to your article, I would like to suggest visiting the HealingBuddha website. It focuses on the topic of pranic healing, which involves harnessing and manipulating the body's energy or life force to promote well-being and healing. The website might provide valuable information and resources for those interested in exploring alternative healing modalities.

Thank you again for sharing this Halloween project, and I hope the readers find it enjoyable.
