think about it Thursday...

Today I have been thinking about getting things done...

I am one of those people that always has a brain full of plans and ideas! There are a list of projects a mile long that I really really want to do...the only problem with that is that I also have a problem with follow through. So last week when I posted all of my "plans" for valentines day projects I looked at them all and thought: "Oh boy...I have a lot to do!" So this week I have been mostly busy with following through. It may sound lame to ya'll, but to me it is huge! I didn't get it all done, but I did A LOT!!


I  found this idea last week and my kids are putting them together for their teachers. It is just a sucker covered in a black napkin. The pattern is HERE and HERE from Skip to My Lou.


So now onto the follow through. I spent most of Tuesday learning how to make my mom's yummy cinnamon rolls so that I could make heart shaped ones for Sunday. It was so fun and they turned out great! Then Wednesday my friend was interested in learning and making some also...so we spent most of yesterday morning/early afternoon making them. I now have a bunch frozen and ready for weeks of yummy goodness!

This is how you roll your dough to get the top of the heart shape! Normally you just roll straight across!

It was quite the operation!


Aren't these just the cutest ever!??!! I love how they turned out. Once in the pan you just pinch the bottom to finish the heart look!


Here is the follow through on the flower valentines for my little girl! They were super easy and came together in a snap!


So there you have it! No huge new craft or ideas this week...just a lot of accomplishing what I set out to do...and BOY does it feel GOOD!!

    I love accomplishing things! You'd think I would do it more often! :) I love all of these ideas, and I'm making those cinnamon rolls on Sunday -- they are SO adorable!

    Good stuff! There are so many cute Valentines with suckers BUT my son's preschool doesn't allow them! I can't wait till he's in elem school...

      Maybe if you flip some of them around instead of putting them all the same direction (like so v^v^...) if they would keep the shape better?

    Do you have any tips? Looks like you printed the 'Happy V-day'. How did you do that? Did you cute them individually?

    I fell in love with the cinnamon rolls when I saw them! I recreated them using refrigerated rolls instead and added red dye to half of the icing to give them some color. My daughter is allergic to red dye #40, most commonly used, so it was a real treat to make a special red Valentine goodie for her!
