Poppies at Play Market

Can I add a P.S. to the top of my post?? My dear friend Linds @ That's so Cuegly posted her room transformation at midnight and I jumped the gun on her...you'll have to go and check out her room HERE. While you're there stop by and see her craftiness. I love this table redo and what she is doing in her master bedroom is the definition of ambition!! She is so talented!

Big Congrats to Misty....the clear winner of Order in the House!! Thanks for participating!! Ha ha!! I'll be shipping off your pegboard soon. I think I still have your address from the last contest you won...man, you are good:)

I'm excited to announce that I'll be having my very own craft market at my house on September 26th from 10:00-5:00!! It's going to be so much fun to get everything ready!! I am actually looking for crafters to help out, so if you live somewhat close to Eagle Mountain, Ut. and would like to participate let me know!! I am not charging any vendor fees for this first one because it's a test run. I am looking for hand crafted items only. I'd prefer to stay away from Avon, Mary Kay, Scentsy and other MLM type products. If you are interested please send an email to poppyginger@gmail.com.

I created a new blog that I will be posting the items that I'll be selling at the craft market. It's called Poppies at Play Market. I will also post links to your products and pictures if you choose to participate. I will be advertising with flyers, in the local stores and papers and on KSL and Craiglist. If you've ever participated in a boutique I'd love to hear your suggestions or tips! I don't know what the heck I am doing, but I'll give it a shot anyway!! It's worth a try!

Today I started on a large "gather" sign. I took a long scrap piece of bead board.

I painted it with a dark ivory color and wiped gel stain into the grooves and sanded off some of the paint. I used vinyl lettering to top it off. I'll still need to create some sort of a frame, but I'll have to head out to the stores to find some materials for that.
I've also been working on some cute little button clips and I found a really great table that I'll be painting in the next couple of days.
If you live in the area I'd love for you to stop by and check it out!!!

  1. Okay, well now I kind of feel like a loser. Winning by default isn't very gratifying...especially since it wasn't that remarkable of a transformation...I just put stuff where it should already be (although I DID throw a bunch away and add more to my DI pile). HOWEVER, I LOVE the peg board, and if I really do get it, I know exactly where it will go. :)
I'm excited for the Poppies at Play Market -- to be a customer, not a vendor -- good luck! It will be amazing, just like every other project you tackle. Thanks again for the motivation!
